Based in Cambridge the heart of Silicon Fen, The Virtual Machine Company is the brainchild of a group of virtualization consultants and system designers led by Steve Barnett the former Managing Director of Check Point Software Technologies. Our systems are designed from the ground up to provide ultimate performance and return on investment in a virtualized environment, and each is backed up by enterprise quality support and services. Each machine benefits from performance monitoring, capacity management & planning tools that ensure the optimum configuration of your virtual server estate, and access to free In-Cloud services that take virtual estate management to a new level.

 

Philosophy

Years of experience virtualizing clients’ data centers led us to conclude that, as is usually the case, a purpose built solution is best! After all when was the last time BMW entered a Saloon car for Monaco Grand Prix.

Our objective when designing the Virtualization Appliance was to met the twin goals of delivering the maximum Virtual Machine (VM) density & performance, with the minimum possible power consumption; and to do so reliably in the smallest form factor possible for an Enterprise grade system. At just 2U in height we have realized this objective with the VSA Series Virtualization Appliances, which fully loaded consume less than 450Watts.
